Bento2016#Jan05~Mofy Bunny

I'm back to my bento routine because my kids school reopen today after 3 weeks term break ^_^ This year 2016 I think I'll blog less and might just share it once awhile here as I don't think I've enough time to update =_=" Not sure how many readers will miss my blog but think is time to spend more time with my family :) Good news is I'll share my bento post at Instagram and FB page since I don't have to spend time typing.....hahaha

Well, back to today's 1st year 2016 lunch box I make for my girl. As per requested by her that she saw this cute fluffy Mofy Bunny from last night TV episodes. I did some reading about Mofy and came to know it actually from a best-seller books by Ami Kondo (click HERE).

A closer look of my cute "MOFY" bunny make of rice balls ^_^ I don't have kamaboko for the pink touch so I use mini sausage instead for the heart shaped details :p Freehand scissor cut out the nori details! Ketchup for cheeks.

As for side dishes have pea sprouts, pan-fried pork katsu and some grapes.

Lastly, I want to thank you for all who have been followed my blog and I hope you will continue followed me and see my update posts at Instagram since I'll blog less here ^_^

Have a great 2016!

Bento2015#Sep14~Bunny Sleeping Bento

Sshh..... little bunny still sound asleep ^_^ I think I'm the one who wish to be like bunny can sleep longer whenever is back to school day after weekend :D Well no worries.... coming Wednesday I can have a day break since is a Public Holiday for Malaysia Day! Yay!

So let's get back to my bunny bento. Is pretty simple and easy to make that I'm sure you can do it.

A closer look of the bunny bento. First, I shape the bunny head/ears/legs then leave a side. Second, I arrange some rice for the blanket, press firmly using cling wrap then cover up with inari. Third, I arrange the bunny head onigiri first follow by the ears (*Note: I didn't secure the ears with spaghetti since I'm putting broccoli). Next, I arrange the arms and finish up with the face feature nori (freehand scissor cut). The red part is make of crabstick.

As for side dishes have pan-fried fish fillets, crabroll, carrots, quail egg and some grapes.

I am sorry for the over exposed photo editing due to most of the taken photos were not bright in the morning =_="

I hope you like my bunny bento sharing :) Have a great day!

Bento2015#Jul26~Bunny Deco Sushi

Yay! I'm so excited to get one copy of my dear talented and favourite bento food artist Shirley Wong from "Little Miss Bento" ^_^ This is her latest new launched Kawaii Deco Sushi Book that I must said very nice tutorial pictures taken and most importantly in English version :D So where to purchase? You can easily shop at Kinokuniya bookstore at your area or other major bookstores or perhaps purchase online ^_^ For more details can hop over LittleMissBento blog

Since I got the book, I can't wait to practice my deco sushi but sadly didn't turn out as pretty as Master Shirley bunny deco sushi :D Looks like I need more practicing than will improve! I choose to bunny deco sushi among the rest because I like bunny :D

Opps.... look at my first attempt creating big and unbalanced bunny ears =_=" Can you see that I actually making bunny deco sushi? Looks weird right? Hahaha....
Oh well, nothing comes easy so I need to practice again to get it correct.

A closer look of my bunny deco sushi :) To make my bunny cute, I add extra lashes :D

Underneath the bunny deco sushi, I add rice first and cover up with chicken floss. Arrange the deco sushi and some lettuce.

My fridge running out of ingredients so I use mashed sweet potato to make carrots! I also cut out some cherry tomato roses and decorate few slices of oranges behind the mashed potato carrots!

To match my bunny deco sushi theme, I use Bento&Co "WanWan" bento lunch box ^_^ Look kawaii together right?

Bento2015#Jun03~Bunny Bento

Do you like bunny? Here I make bunny out from mashed potatoes ^_^ Simple lunch and pretty easy to prepare. I made extra hard boiled eggs and soaked together with my pork stews (our dinner) because I want to use it for today's lunch box. Both of my kid's lunch contain half of the hard boiled egg.

To make bunny, just mashed the potatoes and shape into bunny. The pink colour is sakura denbu. Bunny holds a carrot make of carrot as well :D Broccoli along the side because I can't add it at another container.

Pan-fried fishcakes, carrots, half hard boiled egg and some grapes.

Bon-appetit!

For side dishes have pea sprouts, prawn, pandan chicken wrap, fish finger with oat and cherry. I also carve out apple for the year of goat/sheep chinese word "羊" Have a blessed day!

Bento2014#Sep09~Bunnies Bento

My daughter told me that reading programme still continue on every Tuesday even though is the new term =_=" She can't finished the food if I packed a lot so today's lunchbox pretty small and less food. At least she didn't skip her lunch meal ^_^

So what's inside the egg sheet? It's fried rice and I just add some design for my egg sheet. Sadly didn't turn out perfect.....well still cute right?
To made bunnies, I cooked the egg white first then cut out bunny using bunny cutter. Next I pour the egg at non-stick pan, make sure is low heat and I add the cut out bunnies lay on top of the egg. Looks like I add on too early so you can see some of my bunnies has egg on it. Finished up with nori details and crabstick for red bow.

For another container, I add mini oranges and pea sprouts.

I hope you like this bunnies bento lunch. Have a nice day!

Today I chose the brown bunny Kurousa as the brown colour can easily stand out as a costume.

Here's the closer look of Kurousa Costume Girl ^_^ To made brown Kurousa, I mix the rice with dark sweet sauce. As for the girl, I mix the rice with ketchup. Scissor cut out the nori for the details and  penknife cut out the kamaboko (pink part) for Kurousa's ears.
