Bento#Nov11~Meow....Anicoco Cat

Anybody using KakaoTalk apps? Is a free mobile messenger apps for smartphones with free text and free call features! I liked Kakao Talk emoticon features and there's a lot of kawaii stuffs makes the messengers fun ^_^ So today's post I liked to introduce this Anicoco cat emoticon :) Don't you like to cuddle it?? Haha...

In this bento box contain:
  • Anicoco cat made from rice and nori for details (toasted spaghetti for whiskers)
  • Sweet corn
  • Broccoli, sweet peas, carrots,
  • Sweet chicken wings
  • Checker apple
Pretty simple designed for today's bento and you don't need a rice mould to made this cute cat! All you need is cling wrapper to shape the cat! The only tricky part was the nori details for the outlines :p I liked to freehand scissor cut so I'm sure most of you can do it!
Here is my son's bento lunch :) All the dishes were the same but simple design whenever I've the extra time. For his lunch box, I used Thermos bento box that he liked it so much! It comes with a Thermos warmer bag and a pair of chopstick. All I did was arranged neatly and the rice part, I add furikake for the corner and beautify with broccoli as flower and few carrots using small leaf cutter to cut.
Well, I hope you will like my today's post and wish all of you have a nice day! Cheers!

Bento#June11~Mushroom Onigiri

Today's lunch bento "Mushroom Onigiri" ^_^ Most of my bento Hello Kitty as I know my girl won't get bored! Haha....so this mushroom onigiri was actually in my "To Do-lists" and finally here I attempt to made :D
To made mushroom onigiri, I mixed the rice with some furikake for top part and shape them with cling wrap. Made two small onigiri and combine with the top part together using cling wrap (avoid sticky) Next, I used face cutter to cut out kombu/boiled seaweed for the smiley face mushroom ^_^ Decorate some crabstcik on top using small circle cutter or you can used straw :)
I cooked some meat with dark sweet sauce and filled inside the bento box then slowly decorate the rest as a garden theme to match "Mushroom Onigiri" :) The yellow sun made from quail egg yolk and I add sweet corn around it. Some oranges and sweet corn at the side compartment. I hope you will like this bento lunch ^_^ Cheers!

Bento#April25~Spring Flower Theme Bento

Today's lunch I made Spring Flower theme bento as I wanted to try out making rose flower from cherry tomato so I thought it will be great to have lots of FLOWER in today's lunch ^_^ When I do my decoration....seem that I add too much!! Hope you won't find it too complicated! Hehe....
I cooked macaroni pasta with cheese then pour to the bento box. I made two onigiri and put on top of the macaroni. To made the onigiri blossom flower, I used cutter to cut crabstick then arranged it on top. Add lettuce around the onigiri and finished all the decoration. To made the rose flower, I cut out cherry tomato skin then followed the circular movement to made.
As for another container, I put the sweet corn into food cup then decorate it with open sweet pea and another rose tomato. Cut out kamaboko and also made tamagoyaki. I also add sausages but already covered by the tamagoyaki and kiwi slices.
I hope you will this Spring Flower Theme bento ^_^ Have a great day and I will post my Pasta bento later.

Bento#Jan23~Flowers Garden

Its Monday!!! Back to school and I prepare "Flowers Garden" bento for my girl lunch time. Something simple and less design for today :p
Yesterday evening went to  my sister's younger son 1st birthday party so I packed some left over foods for today's bento. This morning I reheat the "Nasi Beriani" then wrapped with nori/seaweed. Due to the rice won't stick properly as ball shape so I need to wrap with nori. Next, I make egg sheet to make flower and wrap the black ball. Boiled some broccoli, crab stick, carrots and fishcake. For the black flower eyes, I used straw to cut the egg sheet and cutter for mouth. Filled in all the cooked vegies :) Add some cute insects picks! Carrot flowers, I used 3 different flower cutter to cut the cooked carrots then stick spaghetti strips.
Slice some apple and persimmon for her desserts ^_^
So here is my simple "Flowers Garden" bento for today. After took the pictures and noticed that I should add some nori for the hard boiled egg as flower face too! Oh well.....no time for it :(

Bento#25~Giant Mushroom

Let's meet giant mushroom with smiley face ^_^ On top of the mushroom decorate with insects picks and some cheese with nori for the spots. I make tamagoyaki for mushroom face. It looks less for this bento but I don't think my girl can finish if I add more finger foods so just add flower marshmallows. Hope this simple bento can brighten up everyone :)
