Kodomo no Hi
On 5th May 2016,  I made Japan Children's Day bento since it's the actual day of the festival. It is a day set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness. This year I just made the carp streamer designed compared to my passed years bentos :p
  • Blue carp : Mashed potatoes and dap blue pea flower extract on top
  • Yellow carp: Tamagoyaki and red part crabstick for fins
  • Green carp: Broccoli
Underneath was rice and side dishes have pandan chicken wrap, quail eggs and grapes.

Bento2015#Dec01~Frozen Olaf

Yay! It's month of December ^_^

Do you want to build a snowman? Hello! I'm Olaf :) Looks like Olaf can't wait for the upcoming Christmas Day to arrive. Let's build snowman and time to create some Christmas Theme bento.

Sadly over here we can't enjoy to build snowman or experience winter =_=" So let's make Snowman Bento instead. I'm using Nude Food Movers lunch box and create Olaf head/body separated due to the square space.

Olaf make of rice by shaping them using cling wrap. Freehand scissor cut out the nori details and toasted spaghetti for Olaf hands. Carrot for nose.

For side dishes have Sardin, broccoli stir-fried with shimeji mushrooms and some grapes.

I hope you will like this Frozen Olaf bento ^_^

Bento2015#Feb05~Olaf Bento

Do you want to build a snowman? I'm excited to use this Olaf Bento lunch box bought it from my recent Japan Trip :) But I think my daughter will prefer Elsa instead of Olaf! Luckily after done photo shoots, my daughter said Olaf so cute and happy. I answered: Of course Olaf is happy because.....lots of carrots falling from the sky! Lol!

Olaf made from quail eggs and nori for details. The nose, I use the carrots furikake. Sprinkle the furikake at the side  and select all the carrots drop from the sky! Look how happy is my Olaf! Hahaha.....

For side dishes have small chinese cabbage奶白菜, fishballs, meat patties coated with bread crumbs and some grapes.

Happy Thursday!

Bento2014#Nov10~Hello! I'm OLAF

Do you want to build a snowman? It's been a while have not made Olaf ^_^ Inspired by one of my lovely friend at my FB page shared a link of Olaf crochet to me ~ Thank you Caitlin :) I know my crochet limited skill so don't think I able to make Olaf crochet :D Hahaha...so here I thought of made bento instead ^_^ Much easier for me! Lol!

Here's the close up Olaf Snowman ^_^ Shape the rice using cling wrap and finished off with nori details. Remember to have Olaf picture with you for freehand scissor cut out nori :D I prefer to follow the picture expression or by looking at my sketched (If I sketched). Nose made from carrot and I find it too short after taking pictures =_=" To made sure Olaf won't be separated, I insert toasted spaghetti :p

For side dishes at another container, I pan-fried fish fillets, broccoli, tamagoyaki, carrots and few slices of apples. Punch out snowflakes using puncher and add mayonnaise on top of the fish fillets ^_^ Bon-appetit!
