Bento#Sept19~Hello Kitty as Chang-Er

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!!! 中秋节快乐!!! Since that last year I did Chang-Er so this year I dressed up Hello Kitty as Chang-Er for today's theme bento ^_^ Do you like it? Haha....my daughter sure loves it whenever she saw Hello Kitty theme :) I hope you won't get bored :p
To made Chang-Er: Shape the rice as onigiri and add nori for hair. The top curl hair I did a similar bento before at HERE. To made the top curl hair, just roll two long rice wrap with nori then bend it as "U" shape. This time I add too much rice so didn't turn out what I wanted.....well, I'm sorry that I don't have the time to do the tutorial due to my bento was done in early morning and all I do was racing with the time =_=".  I hope you can get the idea of making it!

To made Chang-Er body: Rice mixed with Mizhan Pink Sushi mix (found that I still have one more new pack!!) Just shape as a dress and add one small round onigiri for Kitty-chan hand :) Freehand nori cut and add to the hand for better result.

White rabbit: Made of oval shape fishball, I add two ears and punch out nori for rabbit face.

For hair accessories: carrot, cheese and fondants. As for long hair also nori and cheese.
At the bottom of Chang-Er was minced sweet pork and stir-fried french beans with mushroom as well carrots. Prepared some fruits at another small food container. So here is my Hello Kitty as Chang-Er Bento lunch. I do hope you find it CUTE and if you like it can always share it ^_^ Once again I wish those who are celebrating this festival "Happy Blessed Mid-Autumn" good health and wealth! Cherish one another every moment with your loved ones ^_^ Hugs!

Bento#Sept18~Bunny Eating Mooncakes

Today's lunch bento is about bunny eating mooncakes ^_^ Just one more day will be Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! All I could think was bunny, fullmoon, mooncakes, lantern and ChangEr! Oh....I think my next bento will be Chang Er since last year I've made ChangEr! Here is my last year ChangEr Bento if you have not seen. Alright, back to today's theme. Instead of real mooncakes, I made rice mooncakes and is strawberry snowskin & green tea snowskin!! Haha.... I even cut one slice of the mooncake  to show the yolk! Lol...too bad the pink rice I mixed with Mizkan sushi pink left little bit so the colour too plain :(
Here is closer look of the bunny onigiri and snowskin mooncake :p Underneath I add thin layer of rice and cover with nori. Inari skin at the corner as table and add snowskin mooncake on top ^_^ To made the mooncake, I use mooncake mould to shape the rice and pressed out Hello Kitty face but not clear so I use Hello Kitty puncher to punch out the nori and add on top. Inside the rice mooncake, I actually mixed two different colour! Again the green inner colour didn't stand out =_=" Oh well....not to waste time, I use cutter to cut out the cheese for fullmoon and freehand cut out the cloud using toothpick.
*Green tea mooncake actually is rice mixed with green furikake ^_^
For side dishes, I reheat leftover ginger chicken, few slices of oranges, imitation squid roll with carrot and cucumber. I hope you will like today's theme bento lunch ^_^ Cheers!

Bento#Sept14~Rice Burger Dinner

Yesterday bought new fruit picks so I decided to made "Rice Burger" for dinner ^_^ I thought of make use of the burger picks for next week school bento but sadly not suitable for school due to the edges too sharps so I told my daughter that only for home used. Since she can't bring it to school then I just made dinner bento for her :D
I used burger rice mould to shape the rice as burger tops. Then add lettuce, tomato, eggs, fish meat. Cover the rice burger with nori and I add Rilakkuma pick on top just for decoration ^_^ Mayonnaise at the Rilakkuma sauce container.
Grapes and apples for the burger fruit picks! Well, simple dinner bento and hope you all will like it! Have a great weekend to all ya!

Bento#Sept13~Pooh Bento Snack

Yay!! I love Friday and this weekend will be longer for us due to next Monday is a Public Holiday! I don't have to wake up early and kids can enjoy playing, watching, perhaps will go shopping together ^_^ So for today's bento snack, I transform the chicken floss wrap (bought from local bakery shop) into Winnie the Pooh character. I don't have to make lunch bento on Friday because kids school hour until late noon so usually will pick them up then had lunch together.
Freehand scissor nori cut for Pooh face features and I use oval shape cutter to cut out the bread skin for Pooh's ears. To stick the nori, I add kaya spread or you can use jam or mayonnaise. Bear shape marshmallows, strawberry, grapes and strawberry kit-kat ^_^ I hope you will like today's simple snack and wish you all have a great weekend! Hugs!

Bento#Sept12~Froggy Sushi

I remember Hippomum's blog shared the tutorial of the "Froggy Sushi" so I browse through her blogs last night and looks pretty easy so input the tutorail to my brain. So this morning, I'm so confident to made and thought that I don't have to view back the tutorial blog's while making ^_^ Sadly, I made a huge mistake on the froggy eyes and body!!!! Argh....so I've learned my lesson and will try again.
Inside the bento box contained four froggy sushi ^_^ To made the green colour rice, I add green furikake mixed rice and mashed mung peas. To see more of the details, just click HERE for Hippomum's Blog ^_^ Remember to followed the froggy eyes steps :D I decorate the broccoli as froggy and add chicken wrap seaweed, slice of orange and flower fish cake. Not enough space for me to add more dishes but I think is enough for her to finish due to the froggy sushi I made was pretty HUGE!
This is for my son's bento box. I'll packed same dishes for my son but without design ^_^ Surprisingly he allowed me to add the froggy eyes with nori! So I took a shot of his bento box :) Well, I hope you will like today's Froggy Sushi. Perhaps next week I will try to make them again! Cheers!

Bento#Sept11~My Neighbor Totoro Kyaraben

My Neighbor Totoro Kyaraben for today's lunch ^_^ Inspired by the image from the bento box cover. As you can see my Totoro kyaraben holds a tiny umbrella compare to the actual image from the bento cover! Haha....not enough room as well as I don't have the "umbrella" pick :p Well, to made Totoro, I used cling wrap to shaped the rice. The grey color rice was black sesame powder mixed with rice and I add some Japanese sweet sauce for sweet taste ^_^ For whiskers, I toasted spaghetti strips and cheese for eye balls then punch out nori seaweed for the details except the nose and mouth, freehand scissor cut out. Underneath Totoro, I stir-fried some minced pork.
For side dishes, I add broccoli, sunny up egg, blueberries, strawberry and cherry tomato ^_^ I hope you will like today's My Neighbor Totoro bento lunch!

*If you like my bento don't forget to follow me or shared my post! Thank you xoxo
