Bento2014#Oct02~Piggies Family

Overnight chicken rice from last night so I reheat this morning to made today's Piggies Family theme bento ^_^ When my daughter saw it and she was asking me who are these two (quail eggs piggies)? Then she answered: Ah....they're my cousins!!! That's why they looked different ^_^ hahaha....she's so cute and I didn't think of that by just making as many as possible to fit in the lunchbox :D

Here is the closer look of the Piggies Family ^_^ Shape two big onigiri and followed by two small onigiri. The pink colour is made from kamaboko and I just add different nori expression for each piggies except one of the piggy was showing off the butt :p Since there is still room for another two piggies so I add the quail eggs together to join in the family!!

For side dishes contains gyoza, potato wedges and mini grapes.

Oink-oink....hope you like this lovely piggies family ^_^ Have a blessed Thursday! And next week Monday will be a Public Holiday over here so mummy won't be making any bento!

Bento2014#Jun15~Happy Father's Day Bento

Happy Father's Day to all amazing super dad ^_^ I made this bento on Friday's night dinner for my man at home but I schedule to post it today :) Last year I made similar bento too as I have two beautiful children and can't believe that my son has already grown up taller than me =_=" To view my last year Father's Day Bento click HERE.

Look how handsome I made for the "DAD" hahaha....looking smart with black tie ^_^ Pretty girl (my daughter) and handsome boy (my son) both hugging their "DAD". To made the face, as usual mix rice with ketchup. Frehand nori cut for hair and all details :) Arrange all three then filled up the holes with veggies and star fishcakes.

Is seafood Friday for us, so I cooked simple stir-fried spring onion prawns with white shimeji mushroom and checker apple.

It's been awhile have not use this Fukuro Bento box ever since bought from Bento & Co. Just nice for Father's Day Bento due to most of my lunchbox too girlish or small boxes. Totally out to match today's theme but this Fukuro Woodgrain looks just PERFECT for adult right?

Okay....bon-appetit! Wish all super daddy "Blessed Father's Day" good in health ^_^

Bento#Sept03~Strawberry Onigiri Family

Today's theme lunch bento I made "Strawberry Onigiri Family" I've tried to made four strawberry to represent our family members but won't fit it all four!! Haha...Anyway, I put the pretty strawberry girl for my sweet girl ^_^
To made the strawberry, I mixed the rice with tomato ketchup and used cling wrap to shaped it :) For faces, I used circle cutter to cut out the cheese and freehand scissor cut out their hair except the face features, I used nori seaweed puncher ^_^ Lastly, I add black sesame seeds for the strawberry!
For side dishes, I made chicken salad mixed with 3 different colors capsicums. Cut the egg sheet as flower and add fish ball in the middle. Lastly, cut out checker apple :) I hope you will enjoy reading today's lunch bento. Cheers!

Bento#June14~We Love You "Happy Father's Day"

On this coming Sunday 16th June 2013 will be Father's Day!! So I decided to made one for my dear hubby as dinner bento for him. I don't think have the time to make any bento during the weekend so why not tonight since I'm cooking ^_^ I managed to find one bigger bento box as most of my cabinets filled with small bento boxes :p Anyway, this amount of food in the bento box wasn't enough for him!! Haha... there was a bowl of miso beancurd soup that I forgot to add to the photo takings :)
Well, I thought of taking some photos before I arranged the foods into the bento box. For human face, I mixed the rice with tomato ketchup and used cling wrap to shaped. Freehand scissor cut out the seaweed/nori for all the details. I made the "DAD" wears a tuxedo!! Haha....handsome right? I made two kids hugging their "DAD" :D The 2nd photos, I arranged the lady's finger/okra for little girl as her dress and white beech mushroom/Bunapi Shimeji for the boy body.
A closer look of the dad/daughter/son ^_^ I've a son & daughter so this two represent them :)
For side dishes, salmon, tamagoyaki with seaweed, crabroll, carrots as roses, cucumber as leave and kombu roll.
After I've finished made this bento....my ke-poh daughter asked: "Mummy, where are you? Why you're not inside the box?" Hahaha.... I told her its "Father's Day" and there wasn't enough room for "MUM" to fits IN!!!
Well, I wish all awesome, wonderful, handworking, loving and super DAD "Happy Blessed Father's Day" Cheers!
