Updating my 2nd week bento here ^_^ Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Day 1: 18th Jan 2016 Monday
Gudetama
Gudetama made of sunny-side up egg and I freehand scissor cut out the nori detailed. Underneath is rice and covered up by the egg, pea sprouts and pandan chicken wrapped.

 Day 2: 19th Jan 2016 Tuesday

Happy Owl
Pink owl made of sakura denbu mixed with rice and shaped it using cling wrap. I followed the image from Owl bento cover. Side dishes have carrot flowers, spinach, chicken nugget, edamame and fish tofu.

Day 3: 20th Jan 2016 Wednesday

Girl Bento
I'm using NudeFoodMovers bento box to create this girl bento ^_^ I filled up the rice and arranged the pea sprout as hair. Freehand scissor cut out the nori for the face detailed. Side dishes have chicken curry, tamagoyaki and some grapes.

Day 4: 21st Jan 2016 Thursday

Spirited Away Chihiro

When was the last time I made Chihiro? Hmm......should be few years back :p I filled up the rice and covered with seaweed. Freehand scissor cut out Chihiro detailed and I used cheese as face. Body (red) made of crabstick. I just looked at the Chihiro picture and freely cut it out. So please do have a picture of Chihiro for the foodart but it's better result if you trace it then cut out from the baking sheet with seaweed together. So basically my Chihiro little different from the actual Google Image :D Click HERE for my older post Chihiro that I made few years back.

Bento2015#Oct07~Halloween Spirited Away No-Face

My 2nd Halloween Bento for this year ^_^ Do you know which Japanese animated film from the bento above? I'm sure very easy right? It is from "Spirited Away" character called as "No-Face (Kaonashi)" and "Bou" (Yubaba's son that turn into a mouse).
Here's the close up characters. To create "No-Face" nori, you may draw on a baking paper first and trim out together with nori. I skip it by just freehand scissor cut out the nori :p Opps! Cheese for the No-Face with nori details as well ^_^ To create "Bou", simply mix the mashed potato with little bit of charcoal powder to make it grey. Finish off with nori details! Lastly, I add two "Sootballs" and I followed the picture from Google search image.
For side dishes have pandan chicken wraps, fishballs (bats nori on top) and grapes.

I hope you like my Spirited Away for Halloween Theme bento.

Have a great day and thank you for your visit!

Pixar Inside Out Fear Foodart

Yesterday we enjoyed the movie a lot and think I'm "sadness" and emotional for the whole movie :D Overall I rated the movie 8 out of 10. Just certain part of the story I don't quite like it but is good for a laugh as well emotional part..... Anyway, here's my final "FEAR" character for Pixar Inside Out! I made this yesterday dinner foodart ^_^

My close up "FEAR" character in purple. I mix the cooked rice with a drop of purple food gel. Next I used cling wrap to shaped it. Freehand scissor cut out nori details! Red bow made from crabstick.

Last dinner dishes have pan-fried mackerel, stir-fried capsicum/prawns/carrots/shimeji mushroom and sweet corn soup.

Thank you so much for those of you have followed and reading my "Inside Out" creations. I do hope you like it! My kids school will reopen next Monday and I will back to my bento routine. Stay tune and finger-cross that I able to wake up when my alarm alert me =_=" Have a lovely weekend.

Pixar Inside Out Joy Foodart

Please bear with me as I still have one last character to make for Pixar Inside Out and the last one seems tricky for me to create =_=" Anyway, I choose "Joy" first since I've left over blue rice.
I reheated the blue rice (last night left over) and the blue colour not as dark as last night :( Honestly, I don't quite happy with my blue hair-do for Joy =_="
To make "Joy" face orange, I add little bit of orange furikake or you may use ketchup ^_^  I need to clear off my furikake packets before expired :D
Freehand scissor cut out nori details and the red lips made of apple skin :)
Egg sheet for yellow blouse and stars decorations.

Side dishes have broccoli, shimeji mushroom, gyoza, carrots and egg shaeet stars shaped.

I hope you like my 4th Inside Out creations and hopefully I can make the final character successful ^_^

Pixar Inside Out Sadness Foodart

I hope you won't get bored of my Pixar Inside Out foodarts ^_^ This round I made "Sadness" blue in colour and I've plenty of blue pea/butterfly pea flower that I stored at freezer so just nice to make it.

Here's the closer look of my "sadness" character :(
I cooked the rice together with some bluepea flower so that I can get blue rice :D While waiting for the rice to cooked, I freehand scissor cut out the nori details as well prepare the side dishes! When the rice is done, I use cling wrap to shape the head/body. Next add on the face nori details as well the hair.

Side dishes have chicken nuggets, pea sprouts and mushroom soups ^_^

Hope you like my last night dinner foodart and one more day to watch "Inside Out"

Pixar Inside Out Disgust Foodart

Continue making Pixar "Inside Out" emotion ^_^ This round I made my daughter's favourite among five of them "Disgust". She told me she likes her pretty and super long eyelashes :D This foodart was made for last night dinner and hopefully tonight I can make next character (*finger cross) Honestly speaking, I don't quite happy with "Disgust" eyes I made =_="

Here's the close up "Disgust" in green. I mixed rice with green furikake for face/body. Green pepper/capsicum so hair and eyes. I added nori for extra touched because I find it too plain and the eyes didn't stand out but still not pretty :( Perhaps I should use nori for the eyes instead of capsicum. Apple skin for red lips.

Side dishes have dark sweet sauce ginger drummets and stir-fried spinach ^_^

Hope you like my "Disgust" dinner foodart. So what's next I should make? Hmm.....

Pixar Inside Out Anger Foodart

My kids can't wait to watch Pixar "Inside Out" movie and I had purchased the tickets!  One week to go before the school reopen so I will bring them and enjoy the morning movie on this coming Thursday ^_^

Among the five expressions or characters, my girl prefers "disgust"but she asked me why don't I made? I told her one at a time and hopefully can make the rest *finger cross* :D

My "ANGER" close up kyaraben ^_^ To made red rice, I mixed with red furikake + ketchup, white rice for body and nori for details.

Spring rolls, veggies and miso bean curd soup for side dishes.

I edited with extra fire on top for ANGER by using photo editor. I hope you will like it!

Bento2015#May25~Jiji Bento

Finally I'm back after more than two weeks bento break. Not school holidays but both of my kids not feeling well and my son already discharged from hospital last Thursday. Thank GOD that everything back to normal, I loved to hear the noise and laughter at home because it's been too long didn't hear it :(

I'm using Kiki Delivery Service bento box (bought it during my Japan trips) so thought of making Jiji for today's bento ^_^ This time I make it simple by just adding the minced pork to become Jiji.

First, add the rice onto the bento box then use cling wrap to press out the shape of Jiji in the middle so that can fill up with minced pork. Next, add the rice eyeballs and nori details. Crabstick for big red bow and white part for Jiji ears.

Some broccoli and grapes for side dishes. Can you spot my tiny fish furikake? Hehehe..... I just remove some fishes out from a packet of furikake. Have a lovely day! Stay healthy ^_^

Bento2014#Sep25~Minions Bento

It has been quite some times have not make Minions Bento. I'm sure my daughter will likes it ^_^ While adding the Minions nori details and my daughter ask me why one of the minion looks grumpy? Looks like she still prefers beautiful happy faces :D Anyway, I told her this little fellow don't want to be eaten by you! Hahaha....

Minions made from meat patties & melted cheese on top. Before I add the cheese on top of the meat patties, I freely scissor cut out the nori and add on top of the cheese. After done cooking (I turn off the heat & let it melted) I add the Minions eyes (crabstick/nori) and hair. The yellow rice is cooked hard boiled egg yolk (half will do since not much of rice) mix the rice and I add little bit of mayonnaise (as per request). Arrange the yellow rice first, followed by the broccoli and add Minions in the middle then lastly the shimeji mushrooms.

Ta-dah.....cute little minions bento for today's lunch using Monbento Lunchbox ^_^ I also add some mini grapes at the lettuce silicone cup for her dessert. I hope this Minions Bento will brighten up your day! Happy Thursday!

BRAVE Dinner Foodart

Finally I made BRAVE!!! It's been on my list-to-do ever since I saw it from dear talented Samantha Lee. I love the way she used pasta for hair but since I still have some left over organic red yeast ramen, why not I use it as BRAVE hair ^_^ I cooked all the left over ramen for tonight's dinner and took some portion out to made into foodart.
Here is the closer look of BRAVE. Shape one round onigiri for face and another triangle onigiri for body. Then I cover the body with veggies as her dress. Arrange the organic red yeast ramen as hair and finish up with nori details. The arrow made of toasted spaghetti and cheese for arrow.

Simple dinner plate with some eggs, fish floss, parsley on top. Cut out cheese for BRAVE words using letter cutters.

Hope you like today's dinner foodart and wish all of you happy weekends.

Bento2014#Jul14~Kiki's Delivery Service

Recently repeated watching Kiki's Delivery Service animation movie with my daughter at home and she loves Kiki & Jiji ^_^ So I made Kiki & Jiji but in cute version for her lunch bento. I missed out Jiji's whisker =_=" Well, still look cute without it! Haha.....

Perhaps some of you already knew who she was and had watched the animated fantacy movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Many more of this director's movie my daughter and I love to watched ^_^ One of them including Spirited Away!! Familiar right? Did quite a few bento for Spirited Away. I think Kiki will be my first creation and hopefully I can make more of Miyazaki's other movie into bento.

Here is the closer look of Kiki & Jiji ^_^ Arrange some rice into Monbento then cover with minced meat on top. Next, I shape two small onigiri (flatten slightly) for Kiki's face & body. Freehand scissor cut out the nori for all details. Crabstick (red part) for all the red details. Jiji made from nori and crabstick (white/red) including the Jiji's white big eyes! Opps....after taking photos noticed missing Jiji's whickers....can't be helped.....

For side dishes: minced meat, broccoli, tamagoyaki, carrots, vegetarian roll and strawberry.

Hope this cute Kiki's Delivery Service will brighten your day! Happy Monday!

Sadly after done shaping Maleficent head.....she disliked it cause too scary! Haha....so I redo and shape the horns normal & simple without following the original ones :p After done all, don't seem look like Maleficent =_=" Oh well.....perhaps next round I made for myself to eat :D

Here's the closer look of my Maleficent ^_^ All nori details freehand scissor cut out as well the spooky tree next to her :)

Elsa Frozen Food Art

Today blog post I'm going to post my last night dinner food art for my daughter ^_^ I won't be posting or making bento for next week since is their school break. So I thought of making food art instead :) Yesterday I made Olaf bento lunch and dinner time, I surprised her the leading character for Frozen.....who else?? Elsa!! The most tough part was Elsa's hairstyle =_=" Am lucky that I don't have to make Elsa bento for her school lunch cause I think won't be able to finish on time :D

Here is the close up Elsa ^_^ Last night dinner I cooked chicken rice so Elsa's face/body made from chicken rice :p Her pretty blue gown was mixed with some blue pea flower juice. To made her hair, I just freely cut out the crabstick (white) using small knife and add nori for the details so it bring out nicely with tone! For Elsa face details also freehand scissor cut out by looking at the picture (luckily didn't look weird without trace on baking paper).

Simple dinner dishes: Stir fry veggies with shimeji mushroom, honey soy sauce drumettes (recipe from JustOneCookBook), corn potato carrot soup and cheese as snowflakes :) By the way, do you notice the special effect light that shine from the cheese snowflake near Elsa hand? Haha....photo was taken during evening hour so that light was from table light and it turned out pretty good right?

I hope you will like my cute Elsa Frozen version ^_^ Have a great coming weekend! Cheers!

Invited my parents and my parents in law as well ^_^ Everyone had a great Japanese style dinner. My daughter still craving for more and requested Inarizushi for her today's lunch bento. As you can see from the above photo that I've shared at Instagram. My Neighbor Totoroとなりのトトロ looks so cramp together :D

Ta-daa... Bon appétit / itadakimasuいただきます Haha...I don't know Japanese but wish I know how to read and write Japanese words :)

Have a nice Thursday!

Bento2014#Feb19~Mushroom TOTORO

It's My Neighbor Totoro theme again ^_^ I want to transform the whole mushroom into a character, so I did thought of making a bear but not cute enough :p End up I decided to made TOTORO!!! Again I missed out the whiskers & a leaf on top of the head =_="

First, I stir-fry the veggies together with capsicum, corn & mushroom. Next, I mixed the rice with furikake then pour into the bento box. Pressed evenly and I start to arrange the rest of the cooked ingredients. It is fun making like a food art bento box ^_^

Hard boiled egg cut into half and I just add some nori seaweed to made as a bee :)

For side dishes: Mini taiwanese sausages and some apples.

Simple Totoro bento and I hope you will like it ^_^ Happy Wednesday to ALL :)
