Bento2016#Feb19~Back to school bento

GongXiFaCai! Still in CNY moods and kids back to school this week ^_^ I'm back to my bento routine....yawn* Hopefully I can continue maintain my blog and one day when my kids grown up will bring back the sweet memories <3

Day 1: 15/2/16 (Monday)

Lots of PANDAS
After one week of bento break, I always will think of panda due to sleepy and dark circle :D So here I shaped the panda with cling wrap instead of using panda rice mould. Freehand scissor cut out the panda nori details and quite easy even though not using the panda rice mould set. Give it a try if you don't have any panda rice mould set.
For side dishes have broccoli, half of the hard boiled egg (another half for my son's bento), panda chicken wrapped and some carrots.

Day 2: 16/02/2016 (Tuesday)

Bear Mashed Potatoes
I cooked some soba noodles (bought at organic store) that my girl requested. To make my bento cute, I added the mashed potatoes shaped as bear. Freehand scissor cut out the nori eyes and punched out the mouth detailed. Lastly, I added some cute food picks to let it stands out.

Day 3: 17/02/2016 (Wednesday)

Bonbonribbon Vs. My Melody
On this day I made Bonbon ribbon vs My Melody since my girl loves both of these Sanrio characters. Wonder which characters you like the most among these two? To made the rice pink, I added pink sakura denbu (bought local store that selling Japan goods). Immitation crabstick for the ribbon/flower. As for side dishes have drummets, pea sprouts and mashed potatoes (top coat with mayo and parsley flakes).

Day 4: 18/02/16 (Thursday)

Lots of HELLO KITTY
Bought another type of noodles from organic store. It's pumpkin noodles ^_^ This is simple designed and pretty easy to prepared. Hello Kitty face features made of kambu, carrots for flower and ribbon (I used hello kitty cutter). Some broccoli to made the divider, gyozas and tangerines with little touched up with nori :)

Bento2015#Oct21~Bon Bon Ribbon Bento

My girl requested Bon Bon Ribbon character for her bento ^_^ So what usually most mother will do or perhaps father (that make bento) surely try our best right?

I cook some macaroni for their lunch and I make Bon Bon Ribbon out of rice using rice mould. Save me a lot of time :D

Here's the close up Bon Bon Ribbon. I mix the rice with some sakura denbu for pink touch and cut out the crabstick using the provided cutter from Bon Bon Ribbon rice mould set :) Nori for the details.

For the side dishes have oven homebaked chicken fillets, spring roll with some mayo on top.

I hope you will like today's bento. Have a lovely day and thank you for the visit ^_^

Bento2015#Mar16~BonbonRibbon Bento

I bought Bonbonribbon rice mould set during my Japan trip and silly me didn't know about it after looking for bento box yesterday =_=" Because my previous Bonbonribbon was done by hand shaping instead of rice mould. Well, this is my 2nd attempt and so much easier using the ready rice mould to shape out :)

As usual, to make pink rice just add some sakura denbu and mix with cooked rice. Make sure you wet the rice mould before shaping it. Remove it and add in the nori details. This round instead of crabstick or kamaboko, I use cheese and eggsheet for yellow touch.

For side dishes have sweet corn, milk cabbage, breaded chicken chop (cut into few slices), grapes, Korean strawberries and oranges.

I hope you like today's sharing and have a lovely Monday!

Bento2015#Feb25~Bonbonribbon CNY Bento

My daughter likes this Sanrio Bonbon Ribbon soft plush that I bought from Japan Tokyo. Bonbonribbon is a pink rabbit with a pink ribbon bow on her head and some other parts of the body. I didn't know Sanrio have so many kawaii characters until I shop around in Japan spotted so many soft plush ^_^ As per request from my girl, I decided to make one with CNY theme bento for her.

Here is the closer look of Bonbonribbon. To make the rice pink, I add sakura denbu mix with rice and shape it using cling wrap. Punch out nori for the details and freehand scissor cut nori lashes for the eyes! Ribbons make from crabstick that I use cutter to cut and secure it with spaghetti.

For side dishes have pea sprouts, prawn, pandan chicken wrap, fish finger with oat and cherry. I also carve out apple for the year of goat/sheep chinese word "羊" Have a blessed day!
