Piggies Steamed Cake

Today stay at home with my kids because no school for one day to replace last week Thursday Public Holiday ^_^ So in the morning busy making these cute piggies steamed cake for their tea break later! I did make Hello Kitty designed but didn't turn out well so better don't post it here :D Haha....

To view the recipe can go visit Little Miss Bento's links at HERE

I used smaller silicon cupcakes to steamed. Piggy ears didn't pipe more of it so can't view much =_=" Overall piggies still presentable compare to my Hello Kitty....sigh....

Hope you will have a nice Thursday! Back to do some house chores.....

Lemon Cheese Cake Hello Kitty

Since at home with kids, I try to force myself on baking :D Yes....force myself!!! I know my daughter LOVE cheese cake but I'm kinda lazy on baking.....like to see other people delicious yummy pictures posted from FB/Pinterest etc... just don't seem to have the mood or motivation =_=" So like I said forcing myself and ta-da....my first attempt Lemon Cheese Cake ^_^

I was so careless while baking, I forgot to turn the oven heat for both side so ended the top part overbaked....by the time I checked the cake has turned to overbaked....sigh....so I quickly turn the heat to bottom and enough for the top!!! To cover the ugly part....I decorate Hello Kitty on top by dashing some icing sugar :)

If you like to try this recipe...here is it (Recipe from Lovely Butter Cakes Recipe Book by Amy Wong & K.S. Lee)

Ingredients A
  • 150g         margarine (but I used unsalted butter)
  • 130g         castor sugar
  • 3               eggs
Ingredients B (mixed)
  • 200g         self-raising flour
  • 1 tbsp       Parmesan cheese
Ingredients C (mixed)
  • 100g         whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp       lemon juice
Topping
  • 30g           lemon rind
Method
  1. Beat margarine and castor sugar till whitened.
  2. Add eggs for three times. Combine the mixture with the first egg before adding second and third egg. Beat well.
  3. Slowly fold in ingredients B.
  4. Lastly pour in ingredients C and mix well.
  5. Pout the batter into 8x3x3 inches baking mould.
  6. Sprinkle with lemon rind.
  7. Bake at 170°c for 35 minutes or till cooked.

The lemon cheese cake taste really soft and pretty easy to bake as long I be careful before I turn up the heat!! Hahaha....

Hope you will like today sharing recipe. Happy Thursday!

Bento#July07~My Melody Bento Snack

It's happy Sunday and pretty hot weather =_=" I'm sure you all have a wonderful weekend! I made simple bento snack for tomorrow school snack ~My Melody~ Bought chiffon pandan cake so just arranged into bento box and add "My Melody" cheese/nori on top.
I traced My Melody image to tracing paper and scissor cut out together with nori. The lips nori used puncher to cut and as for the pink flower, I add crushed pink fondants.
Some strawberry and apricot at the side. I hope you will like this super easy My Melody snack ^_^ Cheers!

Weekend HK Lunch & HK Cake

Just a simple update for Saturday lunch meal for my daughter ^_^ Once awhile I will let my kids eat instant noodles :p So for her lunch, I cooked Nissin Noodles (Sesame Oil) and add Hello Kitty kamaboko/fishcake. I carve out Japanese cucumber as leave and add sweet taiwanese mini sausage in between. Opps...seems all ingredients unhealthy :p
On Sunday we lunch out to celebrate "Father's Day" but in the morning I still have time to baked a simple small Banana Coffee Cake using Hello Kitty cake mould ^_^ To know the recipe may click HERE as I've shared at my Facebook Page. I am not good at baking as you can see how messy it was the icing sugar =_=" Haha....
Here is the Banana Coffee Cake that I've cut for my family to eat for their tea-break ^_^ Yummy!!

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with your loved ones ^_^ Happy Father's Day to all Super Dad!! Cheers!
