Bento2015#Sep17~Sanrio Inarizushi

Let's make some Sanrio Inarizushi ^_^ I think this is my first attempt making three different Sanrio characters :p So which one you like the most among all three Sanrio? Honestly, I find My Melody face too small! Don't you think? Haha....

Here's the close up for Pom Pom Purin Inarizushi. Yellow rice make of hard boiled egg yolk mix with rice. Nori for the details and shimeji (top) for hat and I secure with toasted spaghetti.

Here's the close up for My Melody Inarizushi :) To make pink rice, I mix the rice with sakura denbu. The white face is make of fish ball and the red bow is crabstick.

Who's next? Of course is Hello Kitty ^_^ I know my daughter will tell me she likes Kitty-chan the most after she see her bento! If among all three Sanrio character I miss out Hello Kitty.... she will ask me why? Haha....
To make Hello Kitty is pretty easy, I just shape the rice and add two ears then finish up with nori details. Egg yolk for nose.

Since I'm using Monbento lunch box, I just fill up the extra space with some sausages, sweet peas, fishball (balance), lettuce and oranges.

I hope you like this simple Sanrio Inarizushi design ^_^ Have a great day!

Here's the closer look of my Rilakkuma Inarizushi ^_^ The details make of nori. Oh gosh.... really look cramped inside =_=" Poor thing.....

As for side dishes have pan-fried fish fillets, broccolim carrots and checker apple.

I hope you like this chubby Rilakkuma Inarizushi Bento.

Bento2015#May06~Inari Hello Kitty

Anyone wants my Hello Kitty inari snowballs? Actually my first idea wasn't making snowman, suppose to make each balls with different Hello Kitty face expression! Sadly, I'm running out of time to do so I just make it as snowman instead with simple expression.  I was cooking spaghetti for my son's lunch box and pack inari for my girl. So I waste on cooking time to prepare two different dishes =_="

In both of my kids lunch box have the same side dishes: broccoli, pan-fried chicken star nuggets, yam samosa, carrots and some HK pasta.

Here's my daughter favourite Inari sushi rice and I add Hello Kitty double up her happiness ^_^ Lol! The yellow HK rice mix with egg yolk and I punch out the nori details since I know not enough time.

Simple photo takings and manage to get it done before send them to school. Phew!

Hope you like today's bento. Have a lovely day!

Bento2014#Sep02~Piggy & Beary Bento

Oh gosh....yesterday was a Public Holiday for us and today I almost overslept =_=" Simple piggy & beary onigiri for today's lunch bento and to make it look smart, I add spectacle as decoration ^_^ Bought the spectacle from 100 yens shop. Isn't cute?

To make piggy, I add some green seaweed powder (bought it from organic shop) to mix the rice & some seasoning. Shape one big rice ball for the bottom and shape smaller seaweed rice ball for piggy. Add edamame for ears, nori and cheese. Fill up the holes with inari after arrange the piggy & beary :)

Same method with piggy for beary. Repeat the methods and I just add the spectacle differently.

Side dishes: spinach, gyoza and cut checker apple.

I hope you will like today's post bento. Happy Tuesday!

Bento2014#Jun24~My Melody Inarizushi

Less food for today's lunch ^_^ I made inarizushi and shape My Melody kyaraben and rest on top of the inarizushi :) I don't have Mizkan sushi pink mix so I just use ketchup to mix the rice and use My Melody cookie cutter as mould to shape the outline. To avoid sticky, I use cling wrap and pressed the rice.
First, made the inarizushi then rest at the bottom. Next, shape My Melody then rest on top ^_^ Simple right? I add two mini rice balls for My Melody and decorate with ribbon & flower using crabstick and corns. I tried to capture both My Melody but I find it hard =_=" Cause it will blocked the image.....sigh....

I carved apple leave and also made apple roses ^_^ How to made?

Just cut the apple half and slice thinly for the petals. Add all the apple slices and cover with water then let it boil until soft. Remove the apple and strain the water by putting on top of the kitchen towel. Next, take the smallest slice of apple to start making roses.

The other half apple, I cut it to make it as leave. To see the tutorial can click HERE

Ta-da....can you spot the other smilling My Melody? That's the reason I can't capture nicely if close up =_=" Well, hope you like it! Happy Tuesday!

Bento#Oct08~Piggies Inari & Domokun Inari

Today I packed Inari sushi for my kids school lunch break. I don't understand why the school make it every Tuesday, out of 40 minutes lunch break, all student only have 10 minutes to finish up their meals and line up to the hall for extra curriculum =_=" Argh....pity those students who queuing for their meals!!! So my kids have reminded me again last night! "Mummy, please don't pack so much foods!" So today for not being hungry even though must pack less....I made inari sushi ^_^ The above "piggies inari" bento lunch for my girl. Haha....with pretty eye lashes must be for a girl bento right?
Here is my boy's favourite character "Domokun Inari" Crabstick for the huge mouth and punch out the nori for eyes! Well, I hope you will like today's simple Inari sushi lunch ^_^ Happy Tuesday!

Bento#Aug27~Rilakkuma Inarizushi

~Rilakkuma Inarizushi~
Another kyaraben lunch done last week too! I was quite busy so no time to update my blog but today I'm at home with my two kids so time to post my last week "Rilakkuma Inarizushi" kyaraben lunch ^_^ To made the Rilakkuma Inarizushi, just used the rice mould to shaped it. I bought Rilakkuma rice mould with cutter and puncher during my summer holidays trips to Kyoto/Osaka. Very easy when you have bento tools at home.
Here is the bento tools : Rilakkuma rice mould, cutter and puncher!
I mixed the rice with black sesame powder for the bottom layer. Then use the Rilakkuma rice mould to shape the face. Remove and put aside. Next add the Inari skin into the Rilakkuma rice mould then put back the ready Rilakkuma rice shaped and pressed using the tools. Remove it and put the Rilakkuma Inarizushi on top of the black sesame rice mixed! Add cheese for the ears and mouth by using the cutter. Punch out the nori for the rest of the details! Lastly, I used heart shape cutter to cut out sweet pea and beautify for extra touch :p
For side dishes: Pan-fried chicken wrapped with seaweed, tamagoyaki, sweet corn, broccoli, sweet pea, edamame, cherry tomato skin as roses and add few kawaii Rilakkuma picks! Well, I hope you will like this Rilakkuma Inarizushi Kyaraben ^_^
