Bento2015#Dec24~Line Christmas Bento

Ho ho ho....it's Christmas Eve! I made this Line X-mas Bento quite some times but only today I share at my Instagram & Blog ^_^ I made Line Brown as reindeer and Line Cony wears Santa hat.

A close up Line Brown rice ball that I mix with dark sweet sauce and rice. Red part is crabstick and the green part for reindeer is broccoli stem.

Line Cony is easy to make but just the nori details that need to take some times to cut out. I freehand scissor cut out the nori details and just add onto the rice ball. Crabstick for the Santa hat and I support with rice behind.

For side dishes have some grapes and chicken katsu with some mayonnaise on top.

I also add a Christmas tree made of broccoli in between the Line Brown and Cony for them to decorate the tree ^_^ I wish you and your family will enjoy this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Countdown 3 more days to go and we're going to attend Christmas Vigil Mass on Christmas Eve. My kids can't wait to open their Christmas presents and I made Domo-kun stand-by and waiting.....hahaha....my final Christmas bento for this year 2014.

Here's the close up Snowman made from mashed potato (I mashed the cooked potato with fork and mixed with parmesan cheese powder/dash of salt) Punch out nori details and scissor cut out the hands. Crabstick for nose and scarf.
As for Domokun made from pan-fried potato with breadcrumbs. I shaped the mashed potato as Domokun before I start to pan-fried with breadcrumbs. I prefer less oil so I don't go for deep fried the potatoes :p After done, I just add crabstick for Domo mouth/hat and nori for eyes.
For side dishes have broccoli, eggsheet, chicken fillets and mayonnaise for extra flavours ^_^

Bento#Dec05~Hello Kitty Santa

Yay!!! It's Thursday and today's post will be my final lunch bento for my kids (Don't be sad) Well, I'm happy cause no need to wake up early!!! Woohoo.....
Every Friday my kids will go home early so normally I don't post any lunch bento :) This lunch bento consider final Christmas Theme bento that I made early morning before send them to school. Been raining most of the time over here so I thought of cooking porridge for lunch.

Porridge at the bottom cover by chicken floss. I design Hello Kitty wears as Santa suits made from imitation crab stick and nori seaweed. Punch out some nori snowflakes for the santa hat and dress using two different punchers. White snowballs cut out from imitation crab stick using cutter.

Side dish: Egg roll (蛋饼) with "Roti Canai" or "Roti Prata"(印度煎饼) instead of making the dough.
Ingredients:
  • Frozen roti canai/prata
  • One egg (beat)
  • Spring onion (cut into small sizes)
Methods:
  • Heat up non-stick pan, spray/add some oil, pan fried the roti canai/prata till golden then remove
  • Pour the beaten egg, add spring onion on top then add the cooked roti canai/prata on top
  • Carefully flip over then start to roll like making tamagoyaki

Another container contain: Persimmon, Red and Green Apple

Ta-da.... My kawaii version of Hello Kitty Santa enjoying snow falls ^_^ I hope you will like this simple lunch bento. Kitty eye's I used puncher and add some lashes. Freehand scissor cut out nori for the whiskers! After arranged the Kitty reindeer into the bento box, I add broccoli, lettuce and Christmas theme pasta.
As for another side, I add sweet chicken drummet, tamagoyaki, overlap green & red apple as leave to matched the Christmas theme colours! Mini sausage as reindeer by adding nori and carrot as well with food picks.
